WITH COLDER WEATHER APPROACHING, AND SNOW RETURNING TO OUR WEATHER FORECAST, MAKE SURE YOU KNOW IF YOU ARE CONSIDERED ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL. IF YOUR ADMINISTRATOR AT YOUR WORK LOCATION HAS NOT INFORMED YOU IF YOU ARE CONSIDERED ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL, YOU NEED TO HAVE THE CONFIRM IF YOU ARE OR NOT. FOR YOUR SAKE ASK THEM TO PUT IT IN WRITING. IT IS NOT MANDATORY BUT VERY HELPFUL IF THERE EVER WAS A QUESTION AS TO IF YOU ARE OR NOT. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW IF YOU ARE ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL NOW, DON'T WAIT TILL AFTER IT SNOWS OR SOME OTHER REASON YOU WOULD BE CALLED IN AS ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL.

THERE IS NO ANNUAL LEAVE, PERSONAL LEAVE GRANTED FOR CODE GREEN DAY. THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS BUT THEY ARE UP TO THE ADMINISTRATOR AT YOUR PARTICULAR WORK LOCATION. IF YOU FEEL YOU HAVE BEEN TREATED UNFAIRLY THEN BY ALL MEANS CONTACT A UNION REP FOR HELP.

YOU MAY BE ASKED TO COME IN AT A DIFFERENT TIME. THIS IS REALLY UP TO YOU IF YOU WANT TO GO IN EARLIER OR NOT. THEY CAN NOT MAKE YOU CHANGE YOUR SHIFT TIME. THIS HAS TO BE AGREED UPON BY BOTH PARTIES. IF YOU ARE NOT ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL YOU WILL STILL GET YOUR REGULAR PAY FOR THAT DAY BUT YOU WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR ANY OT. 

HUMAN RESOURCES HAS TOLD ALL ADMINISTRATORS TO SELECT AND INFORM ALL EMPLOYEES WHO ARE DESIGNATED ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL, PREFERABLY IN WRITING. IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN NOTICE IN THE PAST OR RECENTLY, SPEAK TO YOUR ADMINISTRATOR. CALL ME IF YOU STILL HAVE NO ANSWER IN A WEEK.
